Anne D. Johnston Award Winners

2025 Honoree: Betsy Teti

The Anne D. Johnston Award is named after one of our esteemed and beloved members. The League presents the Anne D. Johnston award to a member, Sustainer or group who has made an outstanding contribution to the League and the community. Anne was an exemplary volunteer who represented the best qualities of a Junior League member, and she will continue to inspire future generations.

The Anne D. Johnston Award is given for outstanding Junior League and community service and commitment. It is presented by the Board of Recognition of the JLP and is named for one of our esteemed and beloved members. Anne Johnston was a League member in the 1970’s who was suddenly struck by cancer and died. Her life represented the very best qualities of a Junior League member, and it inspires future Leaguers. Her many League activities included: treasurer, Show House Chair, Allegheny Adventures, The Junior League Shop, First Stage, Vintage Inc., and Nominating and Placement Committees. Outside of the League, she volunteered with the Pittsburgh Public Theater, WQED Auction, Kingsley House, The Girl Scouts, Shadyside Presbyterian Church, and The Junior Women’s Board.
